⚡ Use Power to track growth and reports to choose upgrades
Power gives you a broad view of account development in Lands of Jail. Before spending, choose one outcome you want to improve. That might be surviving longer on defense, dealing more damage to a boss, unlocking a troop tier or getting ready for the next alliance operation. Use the requirement panel or a report to find what is holding you back.

🪖 Separate troop numbers from the bonuses they use
Training can help you field the march you need or prepare a reserve. Research, equipment and hero upgrades can improve how that march performs, depending on their scope. Check whether a bonus applies to your whole account, a troop type, one formation or one activity. Before adding troops for Power, check whether you can use them in the planned activity and recover after losses.
Hypothetical comparison: two players have similar Power. One has enough troops for the planned rally but uses skills that rarely apply to its troop mix. The other has fewer spare troops and a formation with skills that match the march. Power alone cannot tell you which rally will perform better. Compare their actual formations and reports.
📊 Test the improvement you paid for
- Save a report for the activity you care about.
- Change one upgrade or formation element.
- Repeat against the same or a comparable target. Keep troop counts, ratios and active bonuses as similar as possible.
- Compare the outcome you chose. Use boss damage for a boss setup, losses for survival or a confirmed unlock for development.
If the opponent or conditions changed significantly, repeat when practical. Check what the report shows before attributing an improvement to the upgrade.

Set aside the materials you need for the planned unlock or operation. If you are spending during an event, check the eligible action, the deadline and the reward you can reach within budget. When comparing two upgrades, ask which gives you a benefit you can use soon and what you would have to delay to pay for it.

Write down one goal, one blocker and one next action. Check progress against that goal when you return. Review the plan when your role, main formation or alliance schedule changes.

Can I judge an opponent from Power?
Use it as one signal. Check whatever information the activity makes available about troop tiers, formation, active bonuses and possible reinforcements. Follow the alliance's call when the fight is part of a team objective.
When should I train more troops?
Check whether troop availability is stopping you from filling the march you need or keeping a reserve for later. If your march is already full and still underperforms, check its composition, applicable bonuses and capacity before spending more on training.
What if I have a small budget?
Choose the formation you use most and finish one affordable improvement before spreading scarce materials across several systems. Reserve enough for the requirements you already committed to.
